This boat comes with Yanmar 3gm30 raw water cooling, but in pretty rough shape.

My first idea was to rebuild it by myself, but luckily I found out that our old neighbour is a certified Yanmar mechanic. Quickly we arrange a service plan.

First we tried to turn the shaft by hand and it turns success! We took it out and then I needed to sand blast the whole motor and bring it to his shop/basement. Unfortunately I lost all the photos made while servicing.

The motor was stripped down to bare block. Everything was replaced except the block, shaft, cylinder head, raw water pump housing and rebuild alternator and electrical starter.

Somehow the block did not need hauling, that saved me around 400eur, but unfortunately the clutch plate was damaged and needed replacing that cost 400e.
The whole rebuild cost me 4000€ (I will upload the video to YouTube and send you a link).
